A dream came true on December
1, 2006, with the opening of our new store at 1503 Broadway Avenue
in Boise, Idaho.
Jake Molenaar founded Molenaar Jewelers in 1941, making it the
longest standing jewelry store in Boise. Mr. Molenaar was both
ambitious and generous. As he expanded into several other
locations, he gave various individuals who worked for him as well
as his three daughters the opportunity to own their own stores. In
1984, Susie Molenaar purchased the Molenaar’s location on Broadway
Avenue and operated it as an independent store. Now, she has
realized her dream of building a new, larger, modern
4,000-square-foot store, also on Broadway. With the increased
space, she’s been able to expand her lines of beautiful designer
jewelry, including unique one-of-a-kind pieces.
A Tradition of
Integrity and Giving
The INTEGRITY COUNTS award given to Molenaar Jewelers by the
Better Business Bureau in 1998 exemplifies the principles upon
which the company was initially founded. Honesty, fairness,
excellent service, treating everyone who comes in the door as we
would wish to be treated, and a genuine commitment to doing our
best in every way have always been top priorities at Molenaar’s.
Generations of satisfied customers attest to these strong beliefs.
We continue to enjoy our membership in the American Gem Society
and the Gemological Institute of America, and support our
employees as they further their educations and obtain their
gemological certifications. As a part of the local charities'
fundraisers, Molenaar's has consistenty participated in and is
committed to furthering the many causes that our community is
noted for embracing.
